To be assigned to the Corporate Finance Directorate of our construction company operating within the Albayrak Group ;
- Identify, assess, and monitor financial risks associated with international subsidiaries, joint ventures, and overseas investments.
- Conduct risk assessments related to market volatility, currency fluctuations, interest rate movements, and geopolitical events that may impact financial performance in international markets.
- Assess risks in areas such as foreign exchange, cross-border transactions, capital structure, credit exposure, and regulatory compliance in different jurisdictions.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate financial risks for overseas subsidiaries, including hedging strategies for currency risk, interest rate risk, and commodity price fluctuations.
- Collaborate with finance teams in international markets to design and implement appropriate financial risk management processes, policies, and internal controls.
- Work with treasury teams to optimize cash flow management and liquidity for international operations, minimizing financial risks associated with cross-border cash movements and currency exposure.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations in all countries where the company operates, including adherence to local tax laws, accounting standards, and reporting requirements.
- Monitor changes in international financial regulations, such as IFRS, GAAP, tax laws, and banking regulations, ensuring that the company remains in compliance across all jurisdictions.
- Support the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements for overseas subsidiaries, ensuring that financial risks are accurately reported and disclosed.
- Analyze financial data from international subsidiaries to identify trends, anomalies, or risks that could affect the overall Group financials.
- Advise on risk-related aspects of major business decisions such as market expansion, international financing, mergers & acquisitions, and capital raising.
- Lead the development of financial stress tests and scenario analyses to evaluate the potential impact of adverse financial or economic events on overseas operations.
- Simulate various financial scenarios (e.g., currency devaluation, economic downturns, regulatory changes) to assess the resilience of overseas financials and identify potential vulnerabilities.
- Design and enforce internal controls to minimize financial risks, ensuring that financial processes for international operations are consistent with global risk management standards.
We are looking for a teammate with the following qualifications.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
- Professional certifications such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), FRM (Financial Risk Manager), or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) are a plus.
- Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in financial risk management, with a focus on international financial operations, cross-border financial regulations, and risk management in global markets.
- Experience managing risks in international markets , including currency, credit, and market risks, is required.
- Strong understanding of financial risk management techniques, including hedging, derivatives, and financial instruments used to mitigate risk.
- Expertise in financial modeling and scenario analysis to assess and forecast potential financial risks.
- Experience with foreign exchange management and hedging strategies to mitigate currency risk.
- Knowledge of international financial reporting standards (IFRS, US GAAP) and local financial regulations in different regions.
- Proficiency in Excel , risk management software (e.g., RiskWatch, SAS, or similar), and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Risk Assessment & Mitigation : Expertise in identifying financial risks and developing strategies to minimize exposure to those risks across international operations.
- Strategic Thinking : Ability to assess global financial trends, geopolitical risks, and market dynamics, and translate them into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
- Regulatory Compliance : Deep knowledge of international financial regulations and the ability to ensure compliance with local and global reporting standards.
- Problem-Solving : Ability to analyze complex financial issues, identify key risks, and propose practical solutions to mitigate those risks.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders across different countries and cultures.High integrity and professionalism when managing sensitive financial and risk data.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, global environment.
