Allied Land Command (LANDCOM) HQ is the Theatre Land Component and Land Advocate responsible for coordinating and synchronizing NATO and Partner Land Forces by enabling land domain readiness, interoperability, standardization, and competency; on order deploys headquarters elements to provide planning, coordination, and command capabilities to Allied forces.
The Support Directorate is responsible for providing LANDCOM with organizational structures, personnel, logistics, communications and information systems and base support.
The Base Support Group provides LANDCOM with transportation, infrastructure maintenance, air travel support, Morale and Welfare activities, printing, supply and property control and coordinates with the Host Nation the provision of security and safety.
Qualifications and Experience
- High vocational training on electro-mechanics with at least 3 years of relevant experience such as building management systems, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems, fire control systems.
- Knowledge of electronics mechanics.
- Knowledge of environmental legislation (job related).
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations /legislation.
- Knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) units and computers.
- Desirable to have more than 3 years of job related experience in building management systems,
HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems, fire control systems.
- Knowledge of logic circuit programming (desirable).
- English- SLP 2222 - (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing)
NOTE: The work both oral and written in this post and in this Headquarters as a whole is
conducted mainly in English.
Job Description
1) Operates and modifies automation systems using PLC units and computers.
2) Conducts daily, weekly, monthly and yearly maintenance programs (Automation, electro mechanical, fire detection systems etc.)
3) Accompanies and escorts the contractors (Honeywell/ Siemens/ Laher/ Arser/ Grundfoss/ Buderus etc.) during maintenance or repair process.
4) Controls and operates Fire Detection/Fighting systems.
5) Adjusts and control the central clock systems.
6) Keeps the public addresses and announcement system in working condition.
7) Maintains repairs personnel access control systems. He/she will make sure the referenced system is working efficiently and effectively at all times. He will supervise the subcontractor of the referenced system and will escort them during overall maintenance.
8) Changes the pin numbers or passwords of the personal security combination locks, fingerprint access system when required.
9) Duplicates or replace keys of the classified offices when required.
10) Repair locks of the classified office doors.
11) Prepares classified office entry/exit log sheets when required.
12) Advises on the replacement of or the purchase of new equipment or installations.
13) He/she reports any failure or defects to his supervisor and makes sure works carried out by contractors are in compliance with NATO and HN standards.
14) Keeps logbooks of automation systems (type, manufacturer, supplier, PLC, failures, etc.) as required.
15) Controls and operates-water depots, irrigation systems, water purification systems, heating boilers and hot water storage tanks.
