QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Viking International, located in Turkey, seeks a full-time employee for the Rig Operations Engineer position.

Responsibilities (Including QHSE )

• Preparing and following up the maintenance schedule of the rig
• Preparing the MR forms and tracking the shipments of materials and equipment to ensure timely delivery
• Tracking the inventory levels of the rig in coordination with Toolpusher
• Preparing the work schedule for the staff and planning their shifts
• Preparing travel request forms and forwarding them to Travel Coordinator
• Responsible for executing decisions about working overtime made by upper management
• Planning the manpower requirement and preparing paid/unpaid leaves
• Preparing the expense reports for all staff
• Sending related updates to upper management in a timely manner
• Responsible for training and development of Rig Crew and acting as point of contact between the Company Man and Rig Crew
• Training and developing the Rig Crew to improve efficiency in accordance with Viking International Policies
• Responsible for communicating with local safety officers as required and reporting any job accident on time
• Conducting safety meetings, pre-job and pre-tour meetings before every shift
• Following Viking International Limited’s QHSE&T policies and procedures in order to create a safe working environment at all times
• Performing all other duties and tasks assigned by the department management

Position Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years verifiable experience as Rig Operations Engineer
• Strong troubleshooting and problem identification skills
• Strong technical background in all aspects of Drilling
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal relations, communication and management skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks on a daily basis and to follow-up on all tasking to completion
• Ability to claim and accept ownership of processes, and to provide appropriate leadership when called upon

Technical or Vocational Education & Training (Including HSE)

• Possess a bachelors degree or equivalent
• Graduated from University as Petroleum Engineer will be added as advantage
• Be fluent in spoken and written English
• Proficient computer skills in office software and company proprietary software
