QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

ABOUT THE POSITION

We are looking for a qualified Civil and Structural Supervisor to control and manage construction activities on a large petrochemical or similar project. The Civil and Structural Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities are carried out in accordance with specifications and quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and manage all civil and structural construction activities including excavation and ground works, concrete works, steel structures and other related activities.
• Ensuring coordination with project management, contractors and subcontractors to ensure the smooth execution of the construction-related project.
• Ensuring that all civil and structural works are carried out in accordance with designs, drawings and project specifications.
• Supervision of the EPC contractor's work.
• Ensuring that the project is carried out in accordance with the desired time and quality standards.
• Conducting regular site inspections to ensure that construction activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
• Review and approve construction methods, work plans and other technical documents related to civil and structural construction.
• Having inspections and tests performed to verify the quality of materials and workmanship.
• Maintaining records of construction activities, including progress updates, delays and corrective actions.
• Providing regular progress reports to project management.
• Ensuring all construction activities are appropriately documented, including construction drawings and quality control records.
• Address and resolve all issues ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• Min. 8-12 years of experience in civil and structural construction supervision, with a focus on petrochemical or similar projects. Proven experience in a PMC (Project Management Consultancy) environment is highly desirable.
