HMS Makina Sanayi , established in 1979 in Izmir with the aim of manufacturing precision-turned parts for the automotive industry, has since evolved into one of the leading machining companies in Turkey. Today, HMS specializes in producing a wide range of components for prestigious clients, particularly in the Aerospace and Energy sectors.
More than 70% of the company’s total sales come from exports to major Tier 1 companies located in Europe. Through its in-house Apprenticeship School, HMS Makina trains its own technical personnel and operates with 610 highly qualified employees in its state-of-the-art technology and production facility located in Manisa, spanning 35,300 m².
The job description and the general qualifications/competencies expected from candidates are outlined below.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management Reporting
- Work closely with the finance & accounting and sales & planning departments, ensuring preparation of accurate and detailed managerial reporting in TL and hard currencies, including but not limited to income statements, balance sheets, sales & profitability analyses and cash flow analyses
Financial Analysis & Enhanced Digitization
- Work closely with the ERP consultant, ensuring accurate and efficient use of the current ERP system regarding companywide data entry, inventory management, cost tracking, in order to ensure accurate database for financial reporting and budgeting.
- Develop and maintain key financial and operational performance indicators (KPIs) together with department heads, on the back of sales & profitability analyses and cash flow metrics
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the preparation of the company's budget, working closely with department heads, and evaluate monthly/quarterly performance against budget
- Contribute to long-term financial planning, including scenario modeling, investment analysis, and business case preparation to support strategic initiatives
- Work closely with the sales & planning department to align financial goals, improve cost efficiency, and support business performance initiative
Job Description
- Professional experience of at least 5 years in Accounting Supervisory / Financial Controlling / Financial Planning & Analysis
- Sound knowledge of Turkish Accounting Standards, Cost and Managerial Accounting (Knowledge of IFRS is a plus)
- Proficient in desktop software (spreadsheets, presentations, etc.)
- Good command of the English language both written and spoken
- Military obligations fulfilled, if applicable
- A graduate of universities with a degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Statistics
