QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Rixos Hotels, with 25 years of experience in the tourism sector, continues to grow worldwide as a Turkish brand with new investments, driven by a management model based on dynamic, flexible, and proactive strategies. Currently, we operate 43 different hotels, theme parks, and special projects across 3 continents and 8 countries.
In Turkey, we provide services to our guests in various concepts with a talented workforce of approximately 8,000 people in the Antalya, Muğla, and Istanbul regions.
We are looking for a valuable team member for the position of " Switchboard Operator " to be evaluated for the Aliée within the Tersane İstanbul.
Responsibilities:
- Receive each guest call in a professional and friendly manner,
- Maintain effective communication with all related department to ensure smooth service delivery,
- Handle every query in a polite and courteous manner and exceed guest expectations,
- Ensure guests are greeted by name upon calling as per Rixos Standards,
- Maintain an up to date knowledge of the hotel and local services,
- Maintain an awareness of guest profile through the fidelio guest profile system,
- Complete management's long distance call vouchers and record them on the traffic sheet,
- Maintain the guest wake up call sheet and deliver calls accordingly on time and to the established standard,
- Ensure the proper operation of the switchboard, resulting in fast and efficient transferring of internal and external calls,
- Take messages for guests and management as per the required standard,
- Ensure all external and internal calls are answered as laid out in the procedure and ensure efficient connection with the correct person,
- Be aware at all times of the whereabouts of the managers and where to contact them,
- Monitor the logs of long distance calls, faxes and messages,
- Co-ordinate communication within the hotel in the event of an emergency,
- Be fully aware of the Rixelence for the day,
- Proper grooming at all times,
- Attend training classes as per schedule,
- Show fullest cooperation and respect within the team and other departments,
- Is aware of the daily activities and has product knowledge of all the hotel facilities,
- To ensure you read the hotel’s Employee Handbook and have an understanding of and adhere to the hotel’s rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety,
- To respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the needs of the hotel,
- To be flexible and extend job duties to carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the job capability as assigned, including redeployment to alternative departments/areas if required, to meet business demands and guest service needs,
- To attend training and meetings as and when required,
- To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned by Manager.
Qualifications:
- Diploma degree in related field,
- Experience in a similar position,
- Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English Language,
- Ability to work within a team,
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
