QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
The Account Manager will drive revenue and sales funnel growth with customers and channel partners within their assigned territory. This team member will prepare and present demonstrations and applications of company products, provide training and offer follow-up technical support for customers and distributors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Along with those identified below, other duties may be assigned.
- Generate revenue and sales funnel growth consistent with company goals.
- Develop and execute a growth plan for the territory through prospecting, new account acquisition and development, and current account commercial and technical support.
- Responsible for close collaboration with customers and channel partners to identify customer needs and developing the appropriate Kollmorgen solution to satisfy those needs.
- Develop, present, and negotiate pricing proposals with customers using the value-selling method.
- Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships.
- Prepare regular progress reports and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics.
- Coordinates, schedules, and executes activities (training, visits, audits, etc.) in the assigned territory in partnership with cross-functional team members as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; Engineering degree preferred
- Experience in the automation/motion control industry
- Experience working with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), including demonstrated large account management skills
- Strong in generating revenue through acquiring new customers
- Accurate in forecasting
- Responsive and accountable for meeting deadlines
- Salesforce.com experience preferred
