QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for “EH&S Department Leader” for our Sakarya- Kuzuluk Plant with below job description and qualifications.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering or Machinery/Industrial Engineering
• A or B class occupational safety specialist certificated
• Minimum 5 years of experience in EH&S areas
• Strong knowledge of EH&S principles and regulations
• Strong computer skills , MS Office Programs (Excel, Power Point etc.)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (both English & Turkish)
• Strong in relations management and prone to team work
• Machinery, Fire Safety and ergonomic assesment experience is preferred
• Completed military service or booked for paid military service for male candidates
• Residing / able to reside in Sakarya or Kocaeli
• Able to drive actively
• Able to travel when required

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Daily monitoring of overall EH&S records
• Advise and assist management on EH&S matters to ensure implementation of EH&S management system
• Ensure the development, implementation and updating of required written environmental , health and safety programs and action plans
• To ensure the effective operation ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management system
• Manage Internal, external audits and follow up actions
• Coordinate accident / injury investigations within area of responsibility and where necessary as per requirement, lead investigations and ensure tracking
• Ensure periodical inspections / of various safety equipments, fire fighting equipments, etc.
• Lead and organize waste management activities inside plant
• Communicate with municipality authorities and other relevant organizations
• To maintain up to date of the latest sustainability, environment and safety requirements and report changes to management
• To coordinate EH&S training of employees as required in line with local and Central requirements to ensure competency of workforce is maintained as required
• Provide EH&S KPI’s and report of EH&S activities to Plant manager and Y-EMEA EH&S Manager.
• Manage and monitor emergency drills inside plant and advise the other department responsible for proper exercise and training.
• Carry out instructions in related to other EH&S activities as required by the Y-EMEA EH&S
• Manage and maintain ergonomic risk assessments inside related work areas and follow up defined actions with ergonomic committee responsible.
• Follow up and maintain sustainability activities and requirements which is deployed by Y-EMEA Sustainability department.
