About İGA Istanbul Airport,
İGA Istanbul Airport , the largest infrastructure project in the history of Republic of Türkiye, put its first phase into service on 29 October 2018 and has been welcoming passengers at full capacity since 6 April 2019. İGA Istanbul Airport, Türkiye's gateway to the world, continues its operations as a significant global hub, connecting the Asian, African, and European continents through Istanbul , which is the "meeting point" of different countries and cultures.
In addition to the many awards it has received so far, İGA İstanbul Airport has been awarded "Best Airport of 2023", "Best Airport Shopping Experience in the World" and "Most Family Friendly Airport in the World" by Skytrax. It was also named "Best Airport over 40 Million Passengers in Europe”, “Most Enjoyable Airport in Europe” and " Cleanest Airport in Europe" by Airports Council International (ACI). The main goal of İGA is to make Istanbul Airport the world's leading aviation center.
Covering an area of 76.5 million square meters, and only 35 kilometers from the city center, İGA Istanbul Airport is planned to be completed in four phases. Already providing service as part of the first phase with 5 operational runways, a terminal building with a capacity of 90 million passengers, and an Air Traffic Control Tower; İGA Istanbul Airport is expected to reach an annual passenger capacity of 200 million people once all phases are completed.

Your Journey Begins With a Unique Role
- Manage, coordinate and supervise the Landscape Department, Environmental and Water Management Department and Waste Systems Operations Department,
- Report activities to upper management and ensure coordination with necessary institutions and organizations,
- Follow up on official external correspondence with corporate firms on environmental issues,
- Monitor planned actions to develop and improve operational processes,
- Create corporate sustainability policies and integrate them into business processes to carry out activities,
- Prepare the Annual Sustainability Report,
- Produce and manage Social Responsibility Projects,
- Manage and coordinate the sustainability consultancy team,
- Monitor project management processes and ensure that projects are completed on time,
- Conduct and report the calculation of carbon and water footprints for activities in sustainability performance and develop strategies to reduce carbon footprints,
- Integrate Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), Environmental and Quality Management systems,
- Collaborate with relevant departments in new landscaping areas to create solutions that will minimize the impact on passengers,
Proudly Show Your Skills to the World
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Landscape Architecture or relevant areas,
- 18+ years of experience in the related field,
- 10+ years of experience in corporate sustainability reporting and improving product environmental performance,
- Knowledgeable about environmental and energy management standards such as ISO 14025, ISO 14064, ISO 14046, ISO 50001,
- Experience in ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems,
- Experience in Sustainability Standard Requirements and preferably in third-party platform reporting,
- Ability to control and coordinate all necessary work to ensure continuous compliance with DHMİ, SHGM, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 management systems and Environmental and Urbanism Provincial Directorate inspections, as well as internal audits,
- Great command of English,
- Willing to engage in communication and sharing among colleagues and stakeholders,
- Setting the bar higher each day for themselves and their team, supporting continuous development,
- Enthusiastic about keeping themselves and their team up to date with current regulations,
- Experience in national and international relationship management,
