QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Senior EHS Specialist/Engineer for our EHS Team that is located in Cayirova/Kocaeli.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Class C Environmental Safety Specialist Certificate, preferably Class B
- Ability to work in shift schedules.
- At least 6 years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety.
- To have knowledge about machine safety,
- Experience in identifying risks and measures in areas with machine safety risk,
- Strong communication skills, problem-solving ability and decision-making skills
- Good use of MS office applications
- Proactive awareness and commitment to environmental and occupational safety practices
- Operational knowledge on waste and materials
Main responsibilities:
- Perform daily field inspections to identify health and safety risks and implement necessary precautions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety laws and regulations, and monitor their implementation.
- Supervise the OHS compliance of subcontractors and monitor work permits.
- Ensure safety measures for high-risk tasks (hot work, working at height, etc.).
- Organize training and awareness-raising activities to promote OHS culture.
- Conduct root cause analysis of accidents and near misses, and implement corrective measures.
- Participate in activities related to management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, etc.
- Plan and deliver OHS training, and conduct risk assessments related to machine safety.
- Support emergency preparedness and response planning, including conducting regular drills and evaluating their effectivenes
