Rixos Hotels, with 25 years of experience in the tourism sector, continues to grow worldwide as a Turkish brand with new investments, driven by a management model based on dynamic, flexible, and proactive strategies. Currently, we operate 43 different hotels, theme parks, and special projects across 3 continents and 8 countries.
In Turkey, we provide services to our guests in various concepts with a talented workforce of approximately 8,000 people in the Antalya, Muğla, and Istanbul regions.
We are seeking a valuable team member for the position of “ Guest Experience Assistant ” to be considered at Rixos Tersane İstanbul.
Responsibilities:
- Meet guests when they arrive and getting them settled in their rooms,
- Anticipate guests’ needs by learning their preferences, allergies, dislikes, etc.,
- Have a thorough understanding of all spirits and specialty foods in stock,
- Assess and restock wine and spirit collections as necessary,
- Serve meals and pour drinks for guests,
- Communicate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are cleaned at the most convenient time for guests,
- Run errands for guests when necessary,
- Ensure guests’ rooms are clean and tidy up when necessary,
- Recommend and arrange amenities for guests,
- See guests off when they check out,
- Remain well-groomed at all times,
- Keep up-to-date on all hotel policies on safety and hygiene,
- Perform all duties with discretion, professionalism and a pleasant demeanor,
- To ensure you read the hotel’s Employee Handbook and have an understanding of and adhere to the hotel’s rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.,
- To respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the needs of the hotel,
- To be flexible and extend job duties to carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the job capability as assigned, including redeployment to alternative departments/areas if required, to meet business demands and guest service needs,
- To attend training and meetings as and when required,
- To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned by Manager.
Requirements:
- University degree in hotel management,
- Minimum 3 year experience in a similar position,
- Excellent communication and organization skills,
- Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English or Russian Language,
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities,
- Ability to work within a team,
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast past environment,
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
